Wedding & Event Assistant
Florals + Coordination
Location: Based out of Holland, NY - but travel throughout WNY.
Schedule: Weekdays & Weekends Required (event-based, flexible hours)
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented Wedding & Event Assistant to join our team. This is a cross-trained position supporting both our floral design and wedding coordination departments. No prior floral or coordination experience is required—this role is perfect for someone eager to learn the wedding and event industry from the ground up.
As a Wedding & Event Assistant, you’ll play a hands-on role in bringing events to life. From preparing florals in the studio to supporting timelines and logistics on wedding days. You’ll work closely with our florists and coordinators to ensure every event runs smoothly and beautifully.
Key Responsibilities
Floral Support
Assist with the preparation and creation of wedding and event floral designs
Process flowers and greenery (cleaning, conditioning, organizing)
Help load, deliver, set up, and break down floral designs and installations
Maintain a clean and organized floral studio
Assist with post-event cleanup and inventory
Event & Coordination Support
Assist Day-of Coordinators with wedding day timelines and logistics
Help manage vendor arrivals and setup
Support ceremony and reception flow as directed
Assist with décor placement and setup
Act as a calm, professional presence for couples, families, and vendors
Help troubleshoot minor issues as they arise
Ideal Candidate
No prior wedding or floral experience required, training is provided
Available both weekdays and weekends (weekends are essential)
Organized, dependable, and proactive
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-energy environments
Able to take direction and work as part of a team
Physically capable of lifting 30–50 lbs and being on your feet for long periods
Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Requirements
Reliable transportation: valid driver’s license preferred
Ability to work long or irregular hours during peak wedding season
Comfortable working in a variety of environments (studio, venues, outdoors)
Professional appearance and demeanor on event days

Day of Wedding Coordinator
Location: Based out of Holland, NY - but travel throughout WNY.
Schedule: Primarily Weekends + Some Weekday Availability (event-based)
About the Role
We are seeking a calm, organized, and detail-oriented Day of Wedding Coordinator to support our couples and planning team on wedding days. This role is ideal for someone who loves logistics, thrives under pressure, and enjoys being the behind-the-scenes problem solver who keeps everything running smoothly.
As a Day of Coordinator, you’ll serve as the main point of contact on the wedding day, ensuring timelines are followed, vendors are supported, and couples can fully enjoy their celebration. You will also be our client’s main point of contact from two months before their wedding, until their wedding day.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the on site point of contact for couples, vendors, and venue staff on the wedding day
Manage and execute the wedding day timeline
Coordinate vendor arrivals, setup, and breakdown
Oversee ceremony and reception flow (processional, cues, transitions, etc.)
Troubleshoot issues calmly and professionally as they arise
Assist with décor placement and setup as needed
Ensure personal items, gifts, and important details are accounted for
Provide a reassuring, professional presence for couples and families
Be a reliable point of contact in the final months before their wedding. Bringing them through final planning stages & meetings.
Ideal Candidate
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
Calm under pressure and able to think quickly on your feet
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable taking leadership on event days
Able to problem solve independently while working as part of a team
Previous event or wedding experience is a plus, but not required for the right candidate
Passion for weddings, events, and client experience
Requirements
Weekend availability is required (most weddings take place on weekends)
Some weekday availability for meetings, prep, or walkthroughs preferred
Ability to be on your feet for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
